The jury, composed of the Lateuaterra.com Technical Committee and the BIOagradables Association, has valued the concern shown by the awarded municipalities towards the protection of the natural environment, environmental education, accessibility to beaches, waste management and respectful with the planet in the municipality as a whole and, especially, on beaches and coastal environments.

Winning beaches in Castellón

The winning beaches, located in El Grao, the maritime district of Castellón de la Plana, stand out for the environmental education activities that try to teach the importance of taking care of the natural environment. These activities include beach clean-up days, workshops on marine biodiversity and educational programs for children.

For its part, the commitment of the Burriana City Council to the maintenance and care of the beaches is demonstrated mainly in the month of July, when the beaches are most crowded, carrying out numerous workshops and environmental activities to raise awareness of the need to preserve nature.
