Lateuaterra.com has been invited to participate on March 20 in the first meeting of eco-entrepreneurs nationwide. This is the EcoemprendeMad fair hosted by La Casa Encendida in Madrid, which aims to become a meeting point for young green entrepreneurs and companies concerned and involved with respect and care for the environment. La Casa Encendida is a space that is visited annually by more than 800,000 people who participate in innovative, transformative and cultural processes.
This ecofair will focus, in this first edition, on innovation to create more sustainable cities. Thus, solutions will be presented to address the main environmental problems we suffer in urban environments, such as high waste production, energy consumption and mobility. There will be room for projects in different stages of development that combine economic profitability and the generation of environmental and social value to make cities a more livable place.
“Lateuaterra offers a great opportunity for green entrepreneurs to get something that many of them do not have access to: financing. The environmental projects hosted by the platform are realistic, sustainable and environmentally friendly and, therefore, we seek the involvement of citizens, who can become patrons and contribute to making the planet a better place to live in,” says Belén Vázquez, promoter of the platform. A different way of investing through micro-donations with which Lateuaterra wants to help entrepreneurs to launch their most innovative and ecological projects.
In its first six months of operation, Lateuaterra has helped to make projects in the Valencian Community a reality, such as the recovery of a native breed of sheep or the recycling of microplastics extracted from beaches.
Green entrepreneurs and investors
The event aims to stimulate entrepreneurship in a booming sector such as the environment. Entrepreneurs, inspirers and investors will meet in a meeting that will help to promote the most innovative initiatives and connect young eco with investors and funding mechanisms to realize their ideas. The format of this green micro-fair includes conferences, practical talks and seed mentoring.
Among the projects to be presented are Desert City; a landscaping project that adjusts to climate change scenarios in which water saving is essential; or Txita, the first company in Spain to deliver goods using cargo bicycles.
EcoemprendeMad is organized by Creando Redes, environmental consultants that offer solutions for the correction, compensation and recovery of impacts based on Ecological Restoration, through the implementation of projects, training and the generation of knowledge transfer events.
